My most adored tv series this year

This year I held allegiance to a tenet:"Whenever in shambles and downright vacillated undergo a formative process of reading(which I did and read some 10 novels in summer) or become apathetic and engage in a sitcom or a drama tv series no matter how dilatory the consequences may be".Although I had originally planned out a more balanced approach to the latter,to watch an episode a day,but it became increasingly difficult to resist, resulting in procrastination and sloppy schedules. Most of the sitcoms I watched this year were highly entertaining in different ways. For the drama series,Lost was awesome as usual with season 5 but Prison Break's final season was a major let down.It was unnecessarily dragged and clearly subdued the alacrity with which I had anticipated its release considering the amazing first 3 seasons.

1.How I Met Your Mother-

The sensuous actress second from the right, that's Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders. She's a Canadian actress playing the riveting, mellow and graceful character of Robin Scherbatsky.Initially she was the only reason I got hooked on to this show and in fact she still is but Niel Patrick Harris's(first from left) extolling portrayal of the debonair, brazen womanizer with his memorable repartees turned out to be the surprise element. He was even nominated for an Emmy award.Truly Legendary.

2.The Office-

I have never seen the U.K. version but the U.S one is genuinely hilarious. Its a mockumetary comedy series with a camera crew following the quotidian issues and activities of the Scranton branch of the paper sales company,Dunder Mifflin. My favorite character from the ensemble cast is unequivocally Steve Carrel(centre),truly proficient in his enactment of an importunately buoyant and capricious branch manager,Michael Scott. It ruined my 5th sem and will surely reverberate next year too.

3.Lost-The inordinately captivating mystery continued with season 5.After season 3 it felt as if the writers are unduly dragging the plot and going into hyperbole but the unprecedented turn of events of season 4 led the foundation for the best season of the series. The survivors left on the island face an eventful predicament of time travel resulting in dire consequences, complementing the clarion call for the ones who came back. The ethereal mysticism is quite prevalent in the whole season ending at a vitally crucial juncture mounting the excitement and ardor for the final season. The doyen enactment of the intriguing and intransigent character of John Locke by Terry O'Quinn juxtaposed with the adroit handling of the canny and immensely shrewd Ben Linus by Michael Emerson kept me enticed into the volatile storyline.

4.Scrubs-
Capturing the lives of several employees of the hospital,Sacred Heart it always tends to creates a jocular and lively ambiance with myriad satires and puns centred mainly on mishaps and awkward snags.I watched 7 seasons in one go but found initial ones much better.Zach Braff(centre) truly fits the part of the main character and narrator,John Michael Dorian or J.D showcasing his talent with elan but the showstopper is undoubtedly John C.McGinley(second from right) as the vociferous and belligerent Dr Cox.
