Cutting Edge Avatar

9 years after his last release, James Cameron, one of my most revered sci-fiction directors, continues to hold sway while returning with Avatar. His repertoire speaks of movies like Terminator 2:Judgement Day,Aliens and Titanic. Its touted to have one of the most advanced visual effects ever, which is quite congenial considering the fact that Welta Digital, the New Zeland based visual effects studio owned by Peter Jackson, director of LOTR trilogy, has crafted the effects for this movie and almost 2 years were spent on perfecting the facial performance capture system to make the animated characters more enthralling and emotive.

Although the actors worked both on sets and against the "green screen" backgrounds, with the computers transforming them into their real time Avatar characters, the facial expressions, however,in lieu of the conventional method of putting tiny reflective markers on an actor's face to be reinterpreted by a computer into the expressions of a CGI(computer generated imagery) character, the actors were made to wear head rigs fitted with cameras inches from their faces to capture every minuscule expression on their faces.

The functioning of the virtual camera monitor-Simulcam used to collate all the visual information was obfuscate and beyond my reach since I am recuperating after the end of one of my worst semesters so far.As usual the vacillating nature of my posts will continue with the next three posts, probably being on the songs, movies and television series I adored the most this year which were not necessarily released this year.

Florid Video Lectures

These end semesters make us docile. Its queasy to realize that they have the capacity to restrict our daily activities which as compared to sem prep will be classified as profligate. When I go into retrospection reminiscing about the highly dreadful times I have had floundering over some of the many obscure concepts given pretty nebulously in some books, especially a day before the exams I realize how futile that unswerving tension had been considering the availability of lectures from IIT professors on the net which are elaborate and lucid to understand. They can surely alleviate those exam anxieties people generally tend to experience at all times whether they are well prepared or not.Its is not even imperative to take notes during a session.

There are heck of a lot reasons to rely on such lectures. The incapability or inefficacy of the institute lecturers to expound the concepts which aren't even audible sometimes or the pristine slumber trend for a little more sloppy and indolent lot are some but the fact that one having gained sufficient insight through the lectures can give an exam without opening the book is the reason that they are becoming a fad.

They are highly germane in contemporary times and can surely relinquish the phenomenon of burnout and stress from student life.
